A battle took place during Russian-Ukrainian war (1658-1659) Ivan Vigovskiy at the help of his ally, Crimean khan Mekhmeda, IV Gireya, in summer in 1659 got under Konotop convincing victory over tsar\'s troops at the head with voevodes by the princes of M.Trubeckim «The color of the Moscow cavalry, which departed happy hikes 1654 and 1655 years, perished for one day, and already never after that a tsar Moscow was not able to show out in the field of such brilliant army. In plaintive clothes a tsar Oleksij Mykhajlo to the people and horror went out overcame Moscow.»
